An Information Session is offered to all new referrals. This discussion allows us to let you know about the range of services provided at Break the Silence.
Offering a safe environment for individuals enabling exploration of loss, grief, anger and the emotional impact that childhood sexual abuse / rape has had on their lives. Person-centred, psycho-dynamic and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) counselling services are available.
Outreach facilities are available in several areas throughout East Ayrshire & North Ayrshire.
We deliver high quality, tailor-made, training relating on sexual abuse / rape and disclosure on a local and national level.
Break the Silence has a well-stocked library covering a range of issues relating to sexual abuse and rape.
These can be made directly or indirectly by phone, letter or email. Referrals can be made via other organisations / agencies, family & friends or by the survivor themselves.
Break the Silence welcomes survivors of all genders.
Partners / Family Members
Rape & abuse issues can affect family members as well as the victim. We offer to see any family member or partner, over 16 years of age, if they feel the need to speak to someone. These appointments are limited to 4 sessions.
